Commercial Kitchen Design & Installation Case Studies

Client: Worcester College of Technology Location: Worcester, Worcestershire
Project Value: £77,000 Date Completed: August 2011
Brief: Refurbishment of Refectory Kitchen and New Servery Counter

Worcester College of TechnologyA successful refectory relies on a reliable and well planned kitchen at the rear of house and an attractive and inviting counter front of house. By listening to the needs of the client Acorn Catering Equipment have managed to bring these two elements together to complete the refurbishment of the refectory at Worcester College of Technology.

The project included a new extraction system, cooking equipment, refrigeration and kitchen tabling - all designed and positioned to make best use of the space available. Some existing equipment from other areas of the college wasincorporated into the design.

Worcester College of TechnologyFor front of house we once again teamed up with our colleagues at Moffat Catering Equipment to design a modern stylish servery counter, in keeping with the new refectory space. Pillars could not be moved so we built the counter around them, making best use of space and creating a pleasant environment for the refectory users. The counter included hot and cold sections and a warm plate dispenser.

For this project we worked closely with Harris and Associates and Leon Builders. A tight schedule was adhered to and by working with the other trades - a successful and timely completion was achieved

Equipment and services supplied on this commercial kitchen design and installation project were:

  • Design, Planning & CAD drawings
  • Cooking Equipment & Fabrication

"The kitchen must remain in production during
the refurbishment
..."
